Saga is a Layer 1 protocol that lets developers launch dedicated blockchains — called Chainlets — with their own throughput and no shared blockspace. The EVM-compatible Saga Chainlet (Chain ID 5464) uses GAS as its native currency and offers low fees with rapid finality. SAGA is the network token for staking, governance, and Chainlet deployment. Saga's primary focus is gaming and consumer applications that need dedicated performance, though the infrastructure is general-purpose.
