XDC Network is an enterprise-focused Layer 1 blockchain with EVM compatibility, built on a hybrid architecture combining features of public and permissioned chains. It uses XinFin Delegated Proof-of-Stake (XDPoS) consensus with fast block times and near-zero fees. XDC is the native token for gas and staking. The chain is aimed primarily at trade finance, supply chain, and enterprise applications — XDC has pursued partnerships with traditional finance institutions and standards bodies like ISO 20022 that set it apart from consumer-DeFi-focused chains.
